THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a well-established, values-led B2B business with a genuinely loyal client base of large, household-name organisations. They're growing fast, they're proud of their culture, and they're looking for an experienced Account Manager (or Senior Account Manager, depending on your level) to own and grow a portfolio of key accounts.

This isn't a quick-win, transactional sales role. You'll be managing relationships that run over months and years, working across multiple stakeholders within each client, and steadily growing the value of the relationship through renewals, upsell and genuine partnership.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Owning a portfolio of large, sophisticated client accounts – becoming their trusted, go-to contact
• Managing long, considered sales and renewal cycles from relationship-building through to negotiation and close
• Proactively identifying growth and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
• Forecasting retention and spotting churn risk early, putting plans in place to protect the relationship
• Building relationships with multiple contacts and functions within each client, moving conversations to a more strategic level
• Working closely with internal delivery, product and specialist teams to make sure clients get real value from the service
• Keeping a CRM system accurately maintained and using data to inform your approach

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Significant experience in B2B account management, ideally selling a service or solution that sits in the 'nice to have' rather than 'must have' category
• A genuine track record of managing long sales cycles – you're patient, consultative and comfortable playing the long game
• Confidence negotiating commercial terms and growing account value over time
• A natural relationship-builder who can talk to stakeholders at every level, from day-to-day contacts through to senior decision-makers
• Highly organised, with strong planning skills and the ability to manage a varied portfolio
• Comfortable with technology and confident demonstrating a digital product or platform to clients
• A full UK driving licence would be an advantage
